By default, a user’s direct number is selected for messaging. A user can change the phone number they are texting with by following these instructions:

iOS

  1. Make sure you have installed the Ooma Office app on your mobile device and that you are logged in.
  2. Tap More in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap Messaging Inbox.
  4. Choose the phone number you would like to use for texting.

Android

  1. Make sure you have installed the Ooma Office app on your mobile device and that you are logged in.
  2. Open the Settings menu and tap Preferences.
  3. Tap Messaging.
  4. Choose the phone number you would like to use for texting.

Important: You can only see messages that were sent and received with the number that you are currently using to text. When you change the number you are texting with, keep in mind that messages sent and received from the old number will not be visible in the Ooma Mobile app. You can find those messages by following the instructions above to change your Business Texting number back to the original number.
