The caller-ID name is configured during the account activation process. It will be displayed when calling another Ooma Office subscriber, an Ooma residential subscriber, and other external destination phones (see note).
Changing the caller-ID name through Ooma Office Manager will change the caller-ID name shown when calling another Ooma Office subscriber or an Ooma residential subscriber, but it will not change what is shown to external destination phones. To change your caller-ID globally, please call Ooma Office Customer Care to request the change.
To change the caller-ID name follow these instructions:
- Log into your Ooma Office Manager at http://office.ooma.co.uk/ and navigate to the Account tab.
Click “Edit” to edit your Business Information under the “Settings” tab, as shown below:
Click the “Edit” button to update your caller ID information.
On the next screen, update the “Caller-ID Name” field, as shown below:
The “Caller-ID Name” field will be your business’s new display name (up to 15 characters).
- Click “Save” to save your changes.
Note: When you set your caller-ID name, that information is made available in a national database. Destination phones will always see your phone number, but they may not show your caller-ID name if they do not subscribe to the national database used by Ooma.
